Day-by-day itinerary
Marrakech → Imlil → Tizi n'Tamatert → Tachdirt
Transfer to Imlil (1,740 m) and meet the team. Gradual climb to Tizi n'Tamatert (2,279 m) with views over Imlil and the High Atlas, then descend to Tachdirt (≈2,300 m). Night in a gîte.
Tachdirt → Tizi Likemt → Azib Likemt
A demanding mountain day: climb above the Imnane valley to Tizi Likemt (≈3,550 m), one of the highest passes of the circuit, then descend to Azib Likemt (2,600–2,700 m), a traditional shepherds' settlement. Night in camp or a local house.
Azib Likemt → Tizi n'Ourai → Amsouzart
Cross south through remote landscapes: climb to Tizi n'Ourai (≈3,100 m) then a long descent to the green valley of Amsouzart (1,750–1,800 m). Night in a guesthouse.
Amsouzart → Ait Igrane → Lake Ifni
Walk through Berber villages to Ait Igrane (≈2,000 m), then up the valley to Lake Ifni (≈2,300 m), the largest natural mountain lake of the massif, ringed by cliffs. Night by the lake or in a refuge.
Lake Ifni → Tizi n'Ouanoums → Toubkal Refuge
One of the hardest days: a long ascent to Tizi n'Ouanoums (≈3,664 m) on high-mountain terrain, over the pass and down to the Toubkal Refuge (3,207 m).
Refuge → Tizi n'Toubkal → Summit 4,167 m → Imlil → Marrakech
Very early start to Tizi n'Toubkal (≈3,900 m) then the summit of Jebel Toubkal (4,167 m), the highest point in Morocco and North Africa. Descend via Sidi Chamharouch (≈2,310 m) to Imlil, then private transfer to Marrakech.
